Trumpet the news!
The elephants have arrived to Devonshire Square.
Expect to be dazzled on when a massive parade of brightly coloured baby elephants will be setting up home across London.
These 200 pretty little pachyderms have been painted all the colours of the rainbow by 200 specially selected artists, but don’t worry no elephants have been harmed.
Each baby elephant is in fact a life sized model, but they are coming to draw attention to their real life brothers and sisters whose very existence in Asia is under threat.
They hope to raise over £1million towards conservation projects back in Asia because, unless current trends are reversed, the Asian elephant will be extinct by 2050. A terrible tragedy that can yet be averted.
Devonshire Square is delighted to support this worthy cause, which will not only benefit these beautiful creatures but will bring a smile to every Londoner lucky enough to see them parade past.
Make a date in your diary to experience the elephants, not only at Devonshire Square but across London. Find out more about Asian elephant conservation work by visiting www.elephantfamily.org.
