On Friday 10th December, Devonshire Square will proudly host Dawaat, a unique theatrical experience driven by the sharing of food, poetry, live music and spoken word, organized by Tara Theatre to celebrate 50 years of Bangladesh independence.
Working closely with Bangladeshi diaspora communities in London, Tara Theatre’s Artistic Director Abdul Shayek has created an unforgettable piece of intergenerational theatre that looks at what the 50th anniversary means to the diaspora.

The exciting rehearsals of the Devonshire Square’s Choir are restarting on Wednesday 9th February! Conducted by vocal coach, teacher, and professional soprano Jessica Norton of Music in Offices, the choir can be joined by everyone, and no singing experience is required. The initiative is part of the Wellness & Fitness Programme, launched by DSQ with the aim of promoting occupiers’ wellbeing and happiness, as singing, especially group singing, helps to promote positive feelings, reduces stress, anxiety and increases feeling of trust and wellbeing. The first rehearsal will take place from 1pm to 2pm in the newly refurbished suite located on the 2th floor of Building 9a. All following weekly rehearsals will take place every Wednesday at the same time and in the same venue. The choir is free to join but availability is limited and registration via email@example.com is required. You are all warmly invited to register and enjoy the re-energising and relaxing power of singing!
