London Fashion Week Shows at Devonshire Square
19/09/2021: 1:00 PM - 5:30 PM
On Sunday 19th September, in conjunction with London Fashion Week, Devonshire Square will be hosting in its atmospheric Western Courtyard three runway shows presented by Oxford Fashion Studio, featuring strikingly imaginative collections by ten designers from across the UK, USA, Australia, Canada and India.
The three shows – starting at 1pm, 3pm and 5pm – will feature bespoke hand-made wearable art, cultural craft techniques, pineapple fibre off-the-grid creations, punk culture resort wear, a collection from the Tsilhquot’in Nation in Canada, a complete adaptive-wear collection and more.
As part of new emerging designer platform Emerge, the event includes the highly anticipated launch of the first adaptive-wear collection by Faduma’s Fellowship, designed by fellowship award-winner Harriet Eccleston.
Faduma fellowship was founded in 2021 by Faduma Farrah - who was rendered paralysed from the neck down at 34 years old - to address the very limited choices available for disabled people by sponsoring the creation of adaptive-wear collection. The collection features design innovations such as magnetic buttons, relocated pockets, breathable fabric and hidden seams. The show will feature six models who use a wheelchair.
As a community that embraces diversity and inclusion as core values of its vision, Devonshire Square is delighted to continue its collaboration with Oxford Fashion Studio, who have distinguished themselves for being innovators of inclusive fashion, delivering memorable show experiences and showcasing collections that reflect the empowerment of their talented creators while inspiring people to use fashion as a medium to break boundaries, express themselves, been seen and tell their stories.
Following five successful editions of London Fashion Week, Devonshire Square will be partnering with Oxford Fashion Studio for the sixth time in supporting some of the most talented, promising, and innovative rising stars in the fashion industry.
