World Health Day

On Friday 7th April from 11am to 1.30pm, Devonshire Square will be marking the World Health Day by hosting in its Western Courtyard an educational event in cooperation with WDP Square Mile Health to raise awareness about the negative effects of tobacco and excessive alcohol consumption.
WDP is a vibrant and innovative drug and alcohol charity committed to helping those who are affected by substance misuse. For over 25 years they have provided support to individuals, their families and the wider communities from centres across London, the South East and East of England.
Representative of the charity will be available during the event to greet visitors and provide information about the range of service that the charity offers.

On Sunday 20th May, from 6pm to 9pm, the historical surroundings of Devonshire Square’s Western Courtyard will be the stage for a spectacular opera concert by Roman Tenor Yuri Sabatini. The talented singer, who has been delighting audiences with outstanding performances all over Europe, will take the spectators on a journey of discovery through some of the most romantic and intense songs ever written for the tenor voice. Sabatini will be accompanied by the Docklands Sinfonia Strings - conducted by Spencer Down - and the velvet voice of rising opera star Honey Rouhani , who recently made her West End debut in the role of Musetta in Puccini’s La bohème at the Trafalgar Studios (Oliver Award Nominee). The repertoire presented by the tenor will include Be My Love, Cielo e Mar, Non ti Scordar di Me, La Danza, Maria (West Side Story), La Spagnola, E’ La Solita Storia del Pastore, Granada, A’ Vucchella, Torna a Surriento, Summertime and many more.
