How to get here
The nearest London Underground station is Liverpool Street (Central, Circle, Metropolitan and Hammersmith & City lines), which is just a three-minute walk north west. It’s around five minutes on foot to Aldgate (Circle and Metropolitan lines) and Adgate East (District and Hammersmith & City lines) Underground Stations.
From Liverpool Street, you can catch the West Anglia Main Line to Cambridge or the Great Eastern Main Line out to Norwich. There’s also a great choice of local commuter services to parts of east London, Essex, and Hertfordshire. Liverpool Street is the terminus of the Stansted Express, a fast link to London Stansted Airport.
Crossrail will link the east and west to London and improve journey times by easing congestion and offering better connections. Travelling will become a lot easier and quicker during peak periods.
There are 20 day buses servicing the local area, numbers: 8; 11; 23; 26; 35; 42; 47; 48; 78; 100; 133; 135; 149; 153; 205; 214; 242; 344; 388; and 705. And the following night buses: N8; N26; and N35.
You can hire a Barclays bike from several nearby locations, ride it where you like, and then return it to a convenient docking station. The nearest docking stations are at Devonshire Square, Wormwood Street, Bell Lane, St Mary Axe, Jewry Street and Braham Street.
Devonshire Square has an underground car park with capacity for up to 150 bicycles. The area is well lit and weatherproof with CCTV coverage. There are also shower and pump facilities. Access is available Monday to Friday, 7am to 7pm. Please contact Front Desk for details.
It’s usually pretty easy to hail a cab on the street around Devonshire Square. If not, try the taxi ranks on Liverpool Street in front of the Great Eastern Hotel and also in the station itself. Or, of course, Front Desk can always book a mini cab for you.
Devonshire Square is located just off Bishopsgate (A10), part of London’s road network to the north. Bishopsgate also provides a direct link to the south via London Bridge and the A3. Routes east are via the A13 and the A12, leading to the M11. The A13 allows for easy access to the A2 via the Blackwall Tunnel.
Parking is heavily restricted in the area. However, there’s a public car park is in St Botolph Street and some meter parking in nearby streets. Motor cycle parking areas are also available nearby.

Heathrow is less than an hour away via Heathrow Express, a direct service from Paddington mainline station. London City airport is around 45 minutes away via Dockland Light Railway, while all other London airports are served by fast rail links — Gatwick via Victoria, Luton via Kings Cross Thameslink, and Stansted via Liverpool Street.
